Using the Software Dashboard
Annual spend, true-up exposure, underused licences, and upcoming renewals at a glance.
Quick Answer
The Software dashboard shows annual spend, over-cap true-up exposure, underused licences, and what is expiring in the next 90 days. Viewers can open it too.
The Software dashboard is the one-screen view of what you spend and where you can save. Everyone in your organization — including viewers — can open it.
The KPI cards
- —Annual spend — every subscription rolled into one yearly figure.
- —True-up exposure — when a pooled licence has more seats assigned than its cap, the estimated extra cost in dollars, flagged before the vendor bills you.
- —Underused licences — unfilled pooled seats plus stranded seats on inactive people or disposed devices, each shown as recoverable dollars per year.
- —Active titles & total licences — how many products and seats you are managing.
The lists
Software expiring — next 90 days flags upcoming renewals with seat-vs-cap and over-cap badges, and Underused licences lists exactly where you can reclaim spend.
💡 Tip: The Spend by cost centre widget uses the same calculation as the report of the same name, so the two never disagree.
