Choosing a Billing Mode
The five billing modes and when to use each one.

Pick the mode that matches how you actually bought the software — it controls which fields you fill in and how DREAM totals cost and seats.
You choose one billing mode when you add a software title. It determines what the form asks for and how the rest of the module reads the licence.
The five modes
- —Pooled seats — one shared renewal for a block of seats (e.g. 80 seats of M365, all renewing January 1).
- —Per-person subscriptions — each person has their own subscription on their own anniversary (e.g. individual Adobe Creative Cloud).
- —Perpetual — bought outright, no renewal (e.g. 12 copies of Photoshop). Recorded with a one-time purchase price.
- —Concurrent — a pool of floating slots anyone can grab (e.g. 5 floating AutoCAD seats).
- —Site — covers everyone, with no seat count (e.g. a citywide ArcGIS deployment).
Seats go to people or devices
The three seat-based modes — pooled, per-person, and perpetual — also ask whether seats are assigned to people or devices. You set this once per title. Concurrent and site licences have no seats.
⚠️ Important: Switching a title's billing mode later clears the fields that do not apply to the new mode. Pick the closest match up front.
