Issuing Items to Staff
How to issue consumable items to staff, including backdating, templates, and batch issuances.
Quick Answer
From C&I → Issuance, find the person and click Issue items — or use the Issue items button on the C&I Dashboard.
The Issue modal handles everything from single items to full kit packages in one submission.
How it works
- —Add as many item rows to the batch as needed. Each row is an independent unit with its own expiry.
- —The issue date defaults to today but supports backdating — useful for entering historical issuances.
- —Size, Other 1, and Other 2 fields appear as dropdowns when the C&I item has options defined; otherwise they're free-text or hidden.
- —The Notes field applies to all rows in the batch and is recorded on every issuance document.
- —Issuing 5 units writes 5 independent records — each can be returned or disposed individually later.
⚠️ Important: If inventory mode is enabled, you must select an Issue from location. Only items with stock available at that location will be shown.
💡 Tip: Templates let you save a standard kit — Category, Item Type, and Item — and load it with one click. Size and quantity are intentionally excluded from templates since those vary per person.
